Preliminary Task - Shot List

2	Mid-shot of Duncan from the legs down	Create a sense of mystery about this character.
3	Low angle of Duncan entering the room	The low angle provides him a certain aura; giving him immediate power over Fred.
4	Wide shot of Duncan approaching Fred	This establishes the connection between Duncan and Fred and allows the dialogue between the characters to begin.
5	Over the shoulder	This allows the audience to see Duncan’s discomfort as he washes his face in the sink.
6	Close-up of Fred	Shows his emotions his confidence in the fact that Duncan cannot follow through with his threats.
7	Wide shot	We see Duncan attack Fred and transform into his father.

Preliminary Task - Team work

Me a Glyn took a share in the work he predominately completed the script and 3/4 of the schedule, I then took images of our recce and then we produced a story board from this to finally create 3 established products.

Overall I think that the work we have done is very good and we are working effecient and effective together.

Preliminary Task - Storyboard

	Scene:1 Shot:1 Description: High Angled shot of where the hostage will be tied up in chair. Dutch Angle shows state of confusion.
	Scene: 1 Shot:2 Description: a low mid shot of the door showing only the bottom half and the handle. This will create a sense of mystery as the other character isn’t fully shown yet.
	Scene:1 Shot:3 Description: a Low angle of the character coming towards the hostage this will show how the hostage is weak at this time.
	Scene:1 Shot:4 Description: Wide shot of the conversation between Duncan and Fred
	Scene:1 Shot:5 Description: This is an over the shoulder shot from the hostages shoulder viewing the other character struggling and panicking.
	Scene:1 Shot:6 Description: Close ups of the hostage’s face which will show his expression, this will be displayed next to the blue circle.
	Scene:1 Shot:7 Description: we see that Duncan attacks Fred and becomes his father

Preliminary Task - Our Idea

Me and Glyn produced an idea from our brainstorm, that we would use a hostage scene, where someone who has had a family air loom stolen, then a kidnapper is pushed to the edge to finally kill the hostage.

Me and Glyn decided to split our roles that we would be working with so that I would be doing the majority of filming and he would direct. Finally we would both share an editing role.
