Preliminary Task - Our Idea

Me and Glyn produced an idea from our brainstorm, that we would use a hostage scene, where someone who has had a family air loom stolen, then a kidnapper is pushed to the edge to finally kill the hostage.

Me and Glyn decided to split our roles that we would be working with so that I would be doing the majority of filming and he would direct. Finally we would both share an editing role.

So What Does A Film Editor Do?

In Industry the film editor is responsible for putting clips together appropriotely and for making the final product look the best it can after all its filming. They work with various materials which can range from raw film clips, sounds, graphics and special effects. In post-preduction this is if not the most important role as the editing determines whether the final product is good.
